Question by Mike: I need some info about a product, help anyone?
I want to play my I-pod in my car but i dont want to spen 100 plus dollars on a stereo with that setup. I have an aftermarket radio already but it doesnt have an ipod setup and theres no sense buying another one. So i saw this “PremierTek GP-FM3G All-In-One FM Transmitter Car Kit for Ipod/Touch, Iphone 2G/3G/3GS” its from walmart and I was wondering how this works cause i dont want to buy it without knowing what it does. The link to the walmart site is below. I would appreciate the help and info about this very much, thanks.

While I haven’t used that particular unit, I have used others.
They work if you are not in a densely populated radio spectrum.
You’ll want one where you can program the frequency of the output signal. If the stations are hard coded, you could get signal breakup when your receiver tried to lock on to the strongest signal (which isn’t always the little transmitter for the ipod).
I gave up on them and went back to making cd’s for the car.
